MSAD #37 will be releasing at 11:30 a.m. today due to the storm.

The recent news of the shooting in the Jonesboro area is NOT related to the events of Friday. We don't believe that this poses any threat to our schools. According to info we've received, the suspect there is in custody. We ask that parents not rush to school to pick up kids.

All MSAD#37 schools will be in session tomorrow including Narraguagus. Please know that our highest priority is the safety of our students and staff and that we have procedures in place specifically in support of that priority.

The Supt. will be working with area Supt., the DOE and WC Sheriff's office over the weekend to assess the threat and how it may affect school on Mon. You will be notified about any new instructions as soon as they become available. Thank you for your understanding. Any parent who chooses to pick up their children and bring them home will be permitted to do so today.

Update: An email was received at a location in Penobscot Cty today that included a threat to 10 high schools across the state, inc. Narraguagus. The Supt. has instructed our schools to not allow anyone to enter today who is not personally known. At the high school, students will be permitted to go from class to class but all exit doors will remain locked until school closes this afternoon.

It has come to our attention that a threat has been made against 10 high schools throughout the state, Narraguagus included. State police and the state department are involved and do not believe the threat is credible; however, to ensure the safety of our students and staff, the high school is on heightened alert and has put several measures in place to increase security.
