Wreath for Wreaths Across America

Grade 1, under the guidance of Mrs. Hinkle, created a wreath  to go with the caravan next Tuesday to Arlington Cemetery.  The wreaths for Wreaths Across America  are comprised of 10 boughs. Each bough holds a special value for the veterans.

The first is for their BELIEF in the greater good. The second  is for their LOVE for each other. The third is for their STRENGTH, work ethic, and character. The fourth is for their HONESTY and integrity. The fifth is for their HUMILITY, selflessness, and modesty. The sixth is for their AMBITIONS and aspirations. The seventh is for their OPTIMISM for America. The eighth is for their CONCERN for the future. The ninth is for their PRIDE in their duties. Last, but not least is the tenth bough for their HOPES & DREAMS that didn't always come true, but left them with no regrets.

Each student helped place a bough on the ring to create the wreath.
