The second annual Seth Dudley Warm & Cozy Drive was a huge success!! My apologies for the delay in this post - it has been incredibly busy, BUT, we all need to see just how great our students and community are!
This year, we gathered a total of 308 items, which broke down to 2,312 individual items that will go to our neighbors to help keep them warm and cozy throughout the year!!
This year we gathered a total of:
144 pair of socks
237 personal care items (shampoo, conditioner, soap, bodywash, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, body spray, lotions and sanitizers)
58 clothing items
12 pounds of coffee
951 individual drinks (coffee, tea, instant breakfast and hot cocoa)
910 other items that included cleaning supplies, coffee filters, and laundry detergent
To say that I am proud of this community is an understatement. Thank you to all of you that donated and to Harrington Elementary, DW Merritt and Milbridge Elementary for collecting items and supporting our JMG students. Seth would be so incredibly proud, and as my mom said "He would have been happy to help even one person. Just look at the impact your students and your district will have made by continuing to support this drive." We can't wait until next year.
Thank you,
Lis Patryn and the JMG classes of Narraguagus
